Deborah Witt

Deborah K. Witt, MD, is the Medical Director with the Philadelphia Collaborative for Health Equity, with Jefferson Health. A Family Physician by training she has over 26 years of experience working in partnership with communities to improve health. Recognizing that 80% of health is determined outside the clinical setting she has the specific responsibility for leading the community screening efforts, engaging community and faith-based organizations along with healthcare providers to address the untreated and undertreated within vulnerable communities as a speaker, educator and advocate. 


Her passion prompted her to start her own company - Witt, Wisdom & Health, LLC allowing her to be instrumental in fostering trust in medicine, dispelling myths, and disseminating valuable education. 


As a Woman of Faith, she has served locally and internationally over the last 20 years, with a nonprofit organization, Glory Unlimited Ministries, as their Medical Director, where she coordinates medical teams to serve communities in need in the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Kenya and Jamaica, with the primary goal of integrating faith with the promotion of health and wholeness. 


Dr. Witt also continues to teach medical students the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion at the Sidney Kimmel Medical School.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors with Glory Unlimited Ministries, Teaching to Change Lives, Inc - Women of Wellness, and Sugga Mamas Diabetes Prevention and Management. She is a trusted messenger, making a difference in people’s lives.
