Jeneen Barlow
Jéneen Barlow is CEO and Co-Founder of Barlow Enterprises (BE) and Be More Excellent Educational Network, where she leads a national platform for education, leadership development, and institutional transformation. An international speaker, consultant, and author, she wrote Don't BE Scared. BEspeak!: How to Prepare, Present, and Inspire your Audience to Take Action, and co-authored the triple Amazon bestseller Don't Be Scared, Live on Purpose: Write Your Destiny Statement™ and Live the Life of Your Dreams, with a foreword by Hall of Fame speaker Dr. Willie Jolley.
Jéneen is recognized as a dynamic speaker, activist-scholar, and research-driven institution builder who turns vision into executable strategy — building high-capacity teams and leading educational initiatives that expand access, reduce inequity, and deliver measurable results. Her entrepreneurial instincts date back to her teenage years, when she won first place in the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) competition at the University of Pennsylvania.
Through Barlow Enterprises, Jéneen and her husband deliver consulting and training to businesses, schools, and nonprofits nationwide. She is best known for founding Be More Excellent University (BEMU) and the Destiny Statement™ Institutes (DSI), which annually train and commission BE Life Scholars and Executive Coaching Partners, help professionals author books and curricula through the Custom Cash-Generating Program, and build an intergenerational network of mission-driven leaders.
Jéneen holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Rider University, a Master of Science in Urban Economic Development from Eastern University, and a Master of Arts in Theology, Justice, and Public Life from Princeton Theological Seminary. She serves as the founding Director of Eastern University's Eastern in the City (EIC) initiative and as Affiliate Faculty at Eastern University.
Her leadership extends to the faith sector as Co-Pastor of Community Life Ministries at New Covenant Church of Philadelphia, and most recently as Founder and Executive Director of Salt & Light Academy for Boys, an innovation lab developing a national model to support online-schooled boys.
When Jéneen is not conducting seminars or teaching, she delights in spending time with her three children and her Prince, Omar Barlow. Jéneen describes her husband as a “Prince and a scholar.” She most appreciates him for his integrity, his passion for helping others, and his efficacious zest for living. Jéneen also loves to dance, paint, read, write, and travel. Life for the Barlows is becoming more excellent each day!
