Linda Pratt

Reverend Linda A. Pratt is a native Washingtonian and a licensed and ordained

minister. In 1997, she was ordained by Bishop Millicent Hunter and the Philadelphia Baptist Association. Currently, Reverend Pratt serves as one of the associate pastors at The Baptist Worship Center Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Millicent Hunter. Additionally, she holds the position of Adjutant General and Chief Adjutant of the Worship Center Worldwide Fellowship of Churches. In 2004, Rev. Pratt was appointed Overseer of Episcopal Affairs by the United Pentecostal Churches of Christ and the United Covenant Churches of Christ in 2009. She also serves as the president of Behind The Scenes Enterprises and author of the book Behind The Scenes...Unveiling the Secrets to Effective Leadership.


Rev. Pratt serves full-time in ministry at The Baptist Worship Center Church in Philadelphia. Driven by her devotion and passion for servant leadership, Rev. Pratt emphasizes the significance of behind the scenes training. Her motto is “What happens behind the scenes will eventually show up on the scene.” She is committed to teaching servant leaders how to serve in their respective leadership roles effectively. For over 41 years, she has passionately shared her corporate and spiritual experience along with her unique gifts and talents across various roles, including business manager, contract negotiator, workshop facilitator, event planner, conference coordinator, chief adjutant, preacher, teacher, mentor, legal, and executive administrator. She has taught and served in various areas of ministry, such as security, new members discipleship training,

young adults, Sunday school, adult bible study, BWC Bible College, trustee, and women’s ministry.


Reverend Pratt graduated from the Braxton School of Business. She furthered her education in paralegal studies at the University of Maryland and continued her biblical studies at the Washington Bible College, and Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (School of Christian Ministry). She graduated from Lancaster Bible College Capital Seminary/Graduate School with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies. She is currently pursuing her Master of Divinity degree at Lancaster Bible College Capital Seminary/Graduate Seminary. She received her adjutant’s training at the Joint College of Bishops, where she serves as the assistant curriculum coordinator for adjutant training.


She has traveled extensively worldwide, teaching, preaching, and training at conferences and churches in Japan, Africa (South, North, West), Madagascar, Mauritius, Israel, and the United States. Reverend Pratt has exemplified leadership for women in ministry, effectively overcoming barriers and challenging the stigmas associated with women in leadership positions. She made history as the first woman to be licensed in ministry and held the esteemed position of first female trustee in the 60-year journey of The New Home Baptist Church in Washington, D.C under the leadership of Emeritus Pastor Bobby D. Hicks.


Reverend Pratt has received numerous awards. She received an Honorary Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Wayland Baptist Theological Seminary. The Sagamihara Christian Women’s Conference in Sagamihara, Japan, honored her for her exemplary service in ministry in Japan. The Young Lawyers of America recognized her for her outstanding achievements as a paralegal in the Washington Metropolitan area. The National Association of Home Builders, an organization with over 190,000 members, and the Legal Action Network for Development Strategies commended her for her exceptional contributions to paralegal services and meeting planning. At the National Home Builders annual conferences, she managed a staff of more than 400 people. She gained national recognition as an LA Weight Loss spokesperson and appeared nationwide

in television commercials and on billboards. Reverend Pratt is an active member of the Baptist Pastors and Ministers Conference in Philadelphia. She received the “Woman of the Year” award from The Baptist Worship Center Church, along with the People’s Choice Award for her loyalty and dedication to service in ministry.


Rev. Pratt is committed to responsibly sharing God’s Word locally, nationally, and internationally by teaching and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She is also committed to training others to be strong and effective leaders who can fulfill God’s Vision and God’s Mission for God’s Church behind the scenes!
